How much do you charge?
That depends on a few factors. Mainly distance to travel, setup times and set times. When you give us some information on your event we can give you an accurate quote.
Travel distances permitting, we will visit the venue well in advance to meet with client and venue representative to agree all details - to ensure a smooth running event on the night.
We require two hours access before the event to set up and sound check - this involves making a noise.
We usually play two live sets totaling up to 2½ hours.

Are you insured?
We have our own public liabilities insurance with cover up to £5 million for accidental injury etc.

Where are you based?
We are based in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.

What’s the lineup?
Shine is a five piece band comprising of drums, bass, guitar, keyboards and vocals.

Can you learn ‘our’ song?
If you give us enough time we will certainly be able to learn a song for your special occasion.
We do this for most first dances at weddings. Let us know what you have in mind and we’ll tell you if it is feasible.

Do we need to hire a PA, lights or a DJ?
Shine comes fully inclusive of sound and lighting equipment. We will discuss with you the appropriate size of setup prior to the booking.
We provide recorded music before, during and after the event - you don't need a DJ. We can accommodate playing your own recorded music set lists through our sound and light system - i-pod, i-pad, etc.
We don’t generally advise booking a disco as well – unless you want to party into the small hours!

What do we need to provide for the band?
  • A stage area ideally no smaller than 4m x 8m which should also be level, flat, stable and clean and if in a marquee, raised well off the damp floor for safety. Clear access to the stage please.
  • Please be aware that we are a FIVE PIECE band and have quite a lot of heavy gear.
You’d be surprised how many times we are booked to play and are expected to setup on an area the size of a postage stamp! If you are unsure, please give us a ring!
  • Minimum of 2 separate and unused 13amp outlets next to the stage area.
  • Vehicular access as close to stage as possible that does not include stairs.
  • Availability of food and drink for the band during the event needs to be agreed.
